Jesus still connects

They call ours the “Connected Generation.” Yet for all the access and connecting opportunities the digital age offers, many are beginning to realize that much of it is just a weak substitute and distraction for real connectedness to the people and things that matter most.

Here in the Philippines, daily internet use is the highest in the world.  We are a connected nation where users average 10 hours per day online.  The Apostle Paul never hesitated to adapt to his surroundings for the Gospel.  Likewise, we also want  “to be all things to all people so we might win some.”    So 4 years ago, we began to ask the question, “What if we could be one of the rare online voices for Filipinos that actually encourages real connectedness and relationship in family, community, and most importantly with God?”  As a result and with your prayers and supportpropelling us, we’ve seen God do amazing things through our ministry… not only through traditional media, but in online and mobile media as well.

Help Connect Filipino Youth with Jesus
One component of our digital ministry is the webcast of the Edge Philippines radio.  Filipino youth & young adults can listen to the stream through our PositivelyPinoy.com website and mobile applications, as well as through many other online and mobile platforms that are now also carrying the Edge, like MyRadioStream.com and the TuneIn.com website and app.

Referring to his crucifixion, Jesus told His disciples “if I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men to me.”  Jesus is the “Great Connector” that the “Connected Generation” is longing for.  As we lift up His message of love & forgiveness, made possible through the cross, it is still attracting men, women, boys & girls even in the digital age.  Since the start of this year, we’ve seen seen unexplainable & exponential growth in our online listenership and

we’re thrilled to announce and celebrate the milestone we just passed today… 100,000 (plus) connections in the month of June.

Filipinos here and living all around the world are discovering and experiencing the Truth of God’s word through music and Bible programming thanks to your support. In addition to the Philippines, Overseas Filipino Workers(OFW’s) are connecting to the Edge in Japan, the US, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Israel and more.  In total, Filipinos living in 53 different nations connected to the Edge Philippines this month.  Jesus truly “draws all men to Himself.”  Jesus still connects.

Connecting and Proclaiming  Jesus
in Pampanga, Philippines

The Edge Philippine’s “Saved by Grace” worship artists proclaiming Jesus in song at Angeles City’s Kay Jesus Ang Pinas on May 13th.

We are blessed to partner with so many amazingly-talented young Filipino leaders who are passionate for reaching their nation for Christ.  None more so that my friend, Pastor Brendan from Angeles City.  Brendan is a youth pastor and worship leader at one of Pampanga’s largest and most active churches.  His heart is to see his generation walking in right relationship with the Lord and His country surrendered to Christ.  On May 13th, in the wake of the nation’s Presidential elections, Brendan spearheaded the first “Kay Jesus Ang Pinas” event which translated means “The Philippines belongs to Jesus.”  Thousands gathered in a public park in Angeles City (the sex-trade capital of the Philippines) to push back the darkness and proclaim with one voice Jesus is Lord of the Philippines.

At the Edge and Positively Pinoy, we were blessed to be the media partner for the event and for our cadre of artists, “Saved by Grace” to lead the crowd in worship.  Hundreds came forward surrendering to the Lordship of Christ before the evening was over.

We’re now working with Brendan to continue the event in multiple cities around the country prayerfully through the nation’s largest mall chain.  Please pray for our upcoming meetings.

Blessed to partner with you to reach Filipino youth,
