Mike & Kim

Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.  Ps. 37:4.

Over twenty years ago when I was a freshman in college I surrendered to the call of God  to serve in full time missions.  Then a funny thing called life happened: marriage, kids,  career, responsibilities and changed priorities.  One thing didn’t change however…God.

About 2 ½ years ago God started redeveloping that passion for overseas missions within me.  It is a passion that has always been near the heart of my Filipina wife.  The adopted daughter of a career missionary, all Kim has ever wanted to be is a mom & a missionary. As we look back over the past 20 years of our relationship and my broadcast career it is amazing to see how God has been preparing us for this next chapter of life all along.

Kim & I have joined Emerge Missions as full time Media Missionaries to serve at The Edge Media network headquarters in Manila,Philippines.   The Edge Media is committed to “Redeeming the Airwaves” over the Philippines and training a new generation of Media Missionaries to reach thePhilippinesandSoutheast Asia for Christ.  I will join the staff of Filipino nationals, assisting them in developing programming and mentoring young broadcast and media professionals.

Kim plans to assist at Faith Academy in Manila, a K-12 school dedicated to educating the children of missionaries, where our 5 children will be attending and where she once attended as a child.  She also plans to volunteer time with a ministry that works with homeless street children of inner city Manila.

Support for the Medlin Family.

Mike and Kim are trusting God for $4900 a month to cover their ministry and living expenses for their family of seven.  In addition the couple needs $5000(need to get actual figure) to cover one time moving expenses.
